So, I can change the look of these pages, I get it, but how easy is it?

In a word. Very. You can designate specific colors for fonts, buttons and hyperlinks, or choose from some pre-designed color palette sets we've already created in the system. Changing a background color, or adding a background image is as easy as selecting from one of our custom image swatches. Or you can upload a background graphic you've already created. Fonts? What font do you like? Just select one and see how it looks.

Every choice is previewed in a window in the application in real-time. If you like it, save it, and now that's your new landing page. If you're not sure, just click cancel and your previous settings stay in place. And as always, depending on how intricate you want to be, you have full access and control over the page CSS, so you can have at it. Is that easy enough?

What's the advantage of using a GOSO landing page over my dealer website?

Can I use a custom url instead of the GOSO URL?

Yes, depending on which package you have you can use a customized URL. We encourage dealers to try to use a URL separate from their dealership website so that they can get multiple entry points. The advantage of using the GOSO URL (i.e. http://yourdealer.goso.com) is that you'll get higher natural search engine results and appear in the search engine faster since our website is already indexed. The other advantage is that goso.com doubles as a tiny URL, giving you more room when you publish your content.

How are the landing pages search engine optimized (SEO)?

After our application decodes your VIN and pulls in all the rich media content from our various partners, we'll select certain relevant keywords that pertain to that vehicle and optimize it geographically, by brand and model. Some of our dealers have shown results on a national level for words as broad as "Honda Accord". Naturally, we always use best practices on every page GOSO generates.

My SEO expert told me that Google doesn't like to see duplicate content on the web, is that true?

Your SEO expert seems to know his stuff. Yes, that is true. We've taken that into consideration and made sure that all the content published on your GOSO landing pages is distinct from the content on your website. This way Google and other search engines see it as two completely different websites from a content perspective. Kudos to your SEO expert, but don't worry -- we're SEO experts too!

How long will the landing pages stay up? What happens when vehicles get sold?

Your landing pages stay up indefinitely. In fact, because they've been search engine optimized and indexed by search engines on the web, it wouldn't make sense to take them down -- as that would reduce your traffic. GOSO simply tells customers that the vehicle they're looking at has been sold and provides them with several different options of similar makes and models currently in your inventory, plus an option to browse all of the vehicles on your lot. So think about it like this, if you had a page that appeared in the top 10 results for "Honda Accord", would you want to take it down? Every page we generate helps connect customers to your dealership.
